Registering to Vote

For procedures on how to register to vote and the documents you need, click here. State law does not allow voter registration on the Monday prior to election day.

IMPORTANT: In order to register to vote in the Village of Mukwonago, you must have been living in your residence at least 10 days prior to the election.

If you are not registered to vote in the Village of Mukwonago, you may register to vote in the following ways:

At the Clerk’s Office. The Clerk’s office is located at 440 River Crest Court. The hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 to noon.

Online. Please visit My Vote Wisconsin. You will need to print off the application and either bring it to the Clerk’s Office or the polls, or mail it to the Clerk’s Office (below). You MUST include your proof of residence when returning your voter registration application to the Clerk’s Office. Please note, the cut off for mailing in your registration to the Clerk’s Office is 20 days before the election. After that date, you will need to apply at the Clerk’s Office or at the polls.

By Mail. Fill out a Voter Registration Application and mail it to: Village of Mukwonago Clerk, ATTN: Voter Registration, 440 River Crest Ct, Mukwonago, WI 53149. You MUST include your proof of residence when returning your voter registration application to the Clerk’s Office. Please note, the cut off for mailing in your registration to the Clerk’s Office is 20 days before the election (March 13). After that date, you will need to apply at the Clerk’s Office or at the polls.

At the poll location. The polling location in the Village of Mukwonago is located in the Community Room at the Village Hall, 440 River Crest Court.

Things to Bring to Register to Vote at the Polls

Driver’s license or Wisconsin State Identification number AND expiration date of the document.If you have not been issued a driver’s license or Wisconsin State ID, then you must provide the last four digits of your social security number.
Previous Name and/or Address. If you are registered elsewhere in Wisconsin and have recently moved to the Village of Mukwonago, you must notify the election officials of your previous address you were registered to vote at.

Voting at the Polls

Elections are held in the Community Room located at the Village Hall, 440 River Crest Court. Polls are open between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Mailing an Absentee Ballot
If you are not already registered, you will need to register to vote before an absentee ballot can be sent to you. If you wish to have an absentee ballot mailed to you, please visit My Vote Wisconsin to complete an application.
