Municipal Court

Making a Plea

You may plead Guilty, Not Guilty, or No Contest. If you plead Guilty or No Contest, you will be found guilty. If you plead Not Guilty, you will be assigned a Pre Trial at a future date (the Clerk will send you a date and time). You may access the not guilty plea letter here:

Setting up a Payment Plan

If you need time to pay, or wish to set up a payment plan, you must appear in front of the Judge. This means you must make an appearance in court.

Additional Time for an Equipment Violation

If you require additional time to clear an equipment correction notice, you must contact the Court Clerk. You will receive confirmation that she has received your request. Please note, the Police Dispatchers cannot give you an extension.

Requesting an Adjournment

A request for an adjournment (pre-trial or trial) must be made in writing to the Clerk. The request must be made at least one (1) week in advance.

Making a Payment

You may pay forfeitures online. The Village of Mukwonago uses a third party service to allow you to use a credit card. This service imposes a floating fee schedule. Please check the site for the amount you will be charged. Please note, you cannot make partial payments with this service. The court accepts cash or check only for partial payments.
