Please DO NOT throw brush or leaves into the street. All obstructions of streets, alleys, sidewalks or crosswalks and all excavations in or under the same, except as permitted by the ordinances of the village or which, although made in accordance with such ordinances, are kept or maintained for an unreasonable or illegal length of time after the purpose thereof has been accomplished. Obstructions of streets or alleys includes the depositing or placing of leaves, brush or snow into the street or alley.” Sec. 34-32(10) of the Municipal Code

Rules on Brush Collection

Brush must be tied in bundles, not more than 4 feet in length. Each bundle must not exceed 50 pounds. If not bundled, it will not be picked up. Leaves must be in paper/compostable bags or 32 gallon containers.  NO PLASTIC BAGS  There is a 45-bag limit per stop.  Bags and bundles must be at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on the day of collection. Limit of ten (10) minutes per stop.
